THIRD time’s going to be the charm for McLaren, as the Woking-based firm has unveiled its third supercar ahead of a public debut at the forthcoming Geneva Motor Show. Hot on the heels of the P1 hypercar, the new 650S slots between the firm’s flagship motor and already established 12C. With bold claims of race car-like performance while retaining the luxury and refinement of its premium supercar rivals, McLaren has revealed that the 650S can sprint to 124mph from rest – the industry standard 200kph – in a blistering 8.4 seconds.

The Honda Heritage Clothing Collection debuted with a launch party and fashion show this week in Los Angeles. Jaguar showed off a bespoke XJ at this weekend's Pebble Beach concours d'elegance. The XJ75 Platinum Concept is the latest in a string of 75th anniversary show cars and is designed to demonstrate 'the design customisation potential' of the latest XJ - hinting at further derivatives to follow.What, you mean a new Jaguar XJR?Well, that's one interpretation. The XJ75 Platinum is based on the 464bhp 5.0-litre V8 XJL Supercharged (a US market trim with fewer horses than the full-fat UK 503bhp edition Supercharged) but adds lower front, rear and side trim panels and 22in wheels.
